CIESE & International Collaboration Opportunities

Stevens Institute of Technology Center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education has developed a  fantastic set of collaborative projects and resources for K-12 education:
CIESE sponsors and designs interdisciplinary projects that teachers throughout the world can use to enhance their curriculum through compelling use of the Internet. We focus on projects that utilize real time data available from the Internet, and collaborative projects that utilize the Internet's potential to reach peers and experts around the world.

Projects and resources are organized into 6 categories:

  • Collaborative Projects: Registration is required for participation. Projects range from 3 months to full school year. Some projects have fall and spring sessions. There are projects for grades 1-12
  • Primary Sources and Archived Collections: Projects available for grades 5-12. Includes lesson plans and resources.
  • Engineering Projects: Projects for Prek-12.
  • Real Time Data Projects: Use hands-on activities and real-time data investigations to study factors that affect weather and climate. Projects available for grades K-12. Includes lesson plans and resources.
  • Partner Projects: Links to additional science projects that invite student participation, several are affiliated with New Jersey universities.
  • Educational Links: Additional resources relating to STEM activities.
