Cool Tool:

Youtube can be an incredible resource for teaching (have you seen the newer Youtube for Education?). But sometimes the video doesn't play smoothly due to a slow connection. Or those pesky ads appear. Worse, what was there yesterday is no longer there today! Frustrating for an individual viewer, unacceptable for a presenter or teacher. is a free, web based tool that will allow you to quickly download and convert YouTube files so you can share them with students in the classroom. Simply copy and paste the video url into appropriate box on KeepVid, choose your preferred format, save the file to a local location (the computer, your H drive,  or the Q drive).
